"I am rating this shark attack movie four stars because the idea is pretty grand. A professional scientist and diver loses her team in a tragic event and later tries to pick up the pieces of her life and move on. Then, her new team discovers a shark loose in the Seine River in Paris! I absolutely love this premise. There was a surprising amount of real tense action and suspense. Although the last half an hour of the movie was farfetched, it was shown as the reality of ignoring warnings. I am also hoping that there may be a sequel, with the impossibly gorgeous male lead returning. 😉 French audio.

"3.5⭐️ A standard but entertaining eco-thriller with a French twist, complete with obligatory smart scientist, evil mayor and officials who won’t listen.
This movie delivers on plenty of suspense, flying body parts and exciting underwater action scenes with some cool visuals and bird’s eye shots of the city of Paris. A decent entry for fans of movies like Volcano, Dante’s Peak, Twister, The Day After Tomorrow, and of course ALL the shark movies etc etc etc. Even a nice Titanic moment in there. Really.
UNDER PARIS obviously pulls from a lot of man vs. nature disaster flicks but it’s still a well put together movie, cohesively and even stylishly shot, good acting by the main actors and some crazy CGI (which I did not mind at all). It’s not quite JAWS but I’d classify it a step above B level in the often C level nature-run-amok-mostly-by-sharks genre. "
"This isn't the best shark movie, but it also integrates enough other elements to make it not JUST a shark movie. The plot weaves in environmental issues, animal activists and even some historical details that have affected the present. All this makes for a crazy but honestly believable story - well, the sequence of events (human reaction can sometimes be terrible and stupid), not so much the shark itself. It also leaves space for a possible sequel, though I'd say it's not necessary. 4/5 🦈
PS this is still a shark movie so it's not absent of ridiculous scenes, and they are absolutely terrible"
"Yes four stars, I am not a fan of shark movies. Since Jaws no one knows how to make a good shark movie but this one is somewhat different. Action all throughout. You don’t lose connection or interest. One less star for a few slightly ridiculous scenes but all in all I was pleasantly surprised. Even though this is filmed in Paris, first fact I found out from this movie that River Thames has sharks. Who would have known!"

"I'm watching this today, the 07 June 2024 on #Netflix , and in French. This is so cool of a movie! Like the Meg and jaws had a mega baby shark that can self procreate ahahahaha diabolical eh. A good story, good acting , and very good graphics and good ending with possible of a sequel.
I totally recommend 👌 excellent 👌
Enjoy!

"2.5 stars. This movie was a little slow in places which is why I didn't rate it higher. The police ignored all warnings repeatedly. This could have been a better disaster movie. Shark movies have to be really good like Jaws or Deep Blue Sea or they need to be silly and make fun of themselves. This movie didn't know it wasn't serious. I don't have much else to say about it."
