"I love Michael Caine movies, but this murder mystery fell flat. The real story doesn't begin until almost an hour into the movie, and by then it seems clear who the killer is. The rest of it is just bits of filler suspense to make up for the story being stretched to almost 2 hours. Warning: ⚠️ There is some nudity."
"Not super Halloweeny but we make do. Yeah... this movie doesn't just engage with the one big trope it engages with but a bunch of smaller ones I hate as well. And like... the spoilers but the weird gender stuff isn't just relegated to the "big reveal" it's all over the movie and I don't really know why when the only thing it's really used for is a Psycho homage. Like, the more you try to explain it, the weirder it gets. Anyway, this movie is also sleezy as hell which makes the moment to moment watching engaging but makes the bad stuff feel worse. Rare miss from De Palma imo although it is still drenched in his 70s/80s style so its a very watchable miss."
