"Amazing Film! Totally a sobbing mess right now. Also watching this movie makes you so freaking frustrated cultural differences, stereotyping, corruption, and the question of how far is to far is present throughout the movie. You asked yourself what was truly gained in the end was all it for naught?"
"Great movie portraying cultural diferences, how differences can lead to barriers in communication & struggles of immigrants to regain their economic footing.
The story delves deeper as the plot weaves how a woman's marriage ending has a domino effect on crumbling her life and ultimately, the lives of four others who are but mere acquaintances.
While this woman is characterized as one who bumbles her life with costly consequences and is selfishly focused on regaining her foothold, she then displays her genuine self with caring and benevolence for those who have been caught up in her whirlwind of woe.
This was a great book and even greater movie.
Ben Kingsley is the only recognizable actor in this flick but all cast members performed wonderfully.
