The Jester

"Such a shame. They took a creepy cool character and did nothing with it. Apparently, the Jester was originally a short film that somehow got green lit to be made into a full length feature. The Jester is a mute, malevolent character that has some sort of powers and has a taste for prankish murders ... and is a bit of an asshole. That basically ends the good things about this movie. They never give us any back story on the titular character and the story that they gave us for the movie is weak at best. The acting was straight trash, from a largely unknown cast. The convenience store scene is probably the best part of the movie, so find that scene on YouTube and forget the rest, to save yourself some time. This was definitely a swing and a miss on what could have been something really good if they took the time to develop it properly. 3/10"

"I tried to watch this I really did but within the first 10 minutes it was a total rip off of terrifer which I'm not even a fan of and this felt like a low rated b movie which I don't mind but couldn't bare it through this"

"disappointing. i really thought the jester was a cool character but they absolutely did not utilize him the way they could have. the first half was alright, i liked the jester and his silly clown-logic killings but then they tried to turn it into a metaphor and it all went south. if the goal of the movie was the trauma metaphor then i think the jester was a bad idea. it should have been either a jester movie or a trauma metaphor movie, not both. "
