" A little smarter than the first film but just as unrealistic occasionally as well. Not much ties it to the first film other than Dorothy. Though there’s some other familiar moments. Like visiting family members near by or stopping by a disaster area to help out. I expected someone to be related to a character from the first. It’s kind of refreshing that there isn’t anyone that is. Glen Powell’s character is part Bill Paxton, part Cary Elwes. The competition and a jerk but a jerk with a heart of course. Twisters is about as much of a nice movie and guilty pleasure as the original. In some ways it is a little better."

"You don’t really appreciate good acting until you stumble upon movies like this. I only made it through the first 20 minutes until I had to move on. You can hear them say the lines like they’re reading straight from the scripts. It’s a pass from me. "
