"I have finally seen this classic movie, and I am sorry that I didn't finish it long ago. Bela Lugosi really is casted well for this theatrical villain. It was fun to watch how Dracula slithered around polite society and made socialites nervous or curious. The smaller characters as well as the set design help give the plot a mood where dark deeds are done. Seeing this film makes me realize how many adaptations have changed the roles of the principle characters as well as the story. I cannot say which film, if any, is entirely faithful to the original book. (But, unfortunately, in most cases, the book IS better than the movie.)"
"The original adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, featuring Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula as he journeys from Transylvania to Carfax Abby to sink his teeth into those he wishes to join him as one of the undead! Worth watching as Dracula had an air about him women find alluring, while also having those who seek the truth when death comes! "
"It’s an eerie, short watch. They kind of blast through the story quickly and if I hadn’t read the book I wouldn’t have known what was going on at some points. I quite liked the cinematography of the film though, especially the use of light to highlight the actors’ eyes to portray vampirism and insanity. I will say the best actor in the film by far was Dwight Frye. His portrayal of Renfield gave me the heebie jeebies. Very well done on his part."
"Okay I reinfield is the true star here honestly. Obviously this movie is iconic i know it is crazy I haven't seen it before. This is the dracula everyone thinks of when they first think of dracula and I don't think anyone can play in the way that Bela lugosi was meant for this role. That classic standard vampire without the reliance of special and everything we got to today. The only thing is the ending was just it I was like you cannot be serious that this is how this movie ends."
