"A simple yet really endearing and entertaining film of a man searching for his inner spark and purpose in life by heading on a cattle drive with his 2 best friends. It has an unusual mix of pathos and slapstick humor that has just the right amount of heart to make it work beautifully, not to mention some beautiful conversations regarding what counts in life. Beautiful script paired with great performances overall, with Billy Crystal, Bruno Kirby, Daniel Stern and Jack Palance standing out (Palance is easily the film's MVP).
I'm particularly amazed at how Jack manages to make his character look intimidating yet funny at the same time, and he is really great in his softer moments too when he opens up to Billy's character. The way he is introduced kind of reminded me of his gunslinger character in SHANE, but with added dose of humor, and I must say that Jack's presence really stands tall here whenever he is on screen. I was not surprised to learn that Jack Palance won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for this film, and it is deserved. I honestly recommend you check out his Oscars acceptance speech as well, which has proven to be an iconic Oscars moment for good reason. A really fun movie watch as a whole.
P.S.: This movie also features Jake Gyllenhaal as a child playing Billy Crystal's son in the movie (this was in fact Jake's acting debut)."

"Just a great movie. Billy Crystal is at his best. What makes him so great is you just feel like you know him. Watch a marathon of the top Billy Crystal movies and you will just feel good. But, like most great movies, every role is well written and well acted. The movie is funny and really keeps your attention. "
"All-time favorite? Probably either The Princess Bride or Tbe Shawshank Redemption. How about you?"
