The Legend of Boggy Creek

"Anytime you think that a horror movie with anything less than an R is effective, look to Legend of Boggy Creek’s G rating! While the Cinema Snob’s review is what really drew my attention to this, it manages to perfectly capture a foreboding, unsettling atmosphere, a simple small town, and evoke a real sense of mystery and danger through great cinematography, excellent lighting, and a great pacing. I’d really recommend giving this one a look sometime, if nothing else for the Travis Crabtree song. It’s beauty lies in its simplicity and the horror comes from not knowing what you might find when you think you’re all alone in the dark, isolated woods. "
