"I watched this classic silent film on Paramount Plus. This is the original version and somewhat hard to see. But there is music playing during the entire film. TUBI TV streaming has a much clearer version, but there is no sound. Lon Chaney was incredible as the deformed man pitied by the townsfolk, and whose unrequited love for the dancer Esmeralda was laughed at by others. Although Quasimodo was a tragic figure, he is still able to prove his love to Esmeralda even though she never returns his feelings. This movie was surprisingly suspenseful and deeply moving."
