"This movie left me feeling underwhelmed, given the principals involved. The film reunites Caine w/ his Sleuth co-star, Laurence Olivier, and is a return to the espionage genre for director Terrance Young, who directed the early Bond movies. Unfortunately, the producer went bankrupt and the filming was halted. The film that they cobbled together from the original footage and later reshoots is a mess. It feels like a 2 hour movie they only shot 90 minutes worth of scenes for. Even a full shoot probably wouldn’t have saved this one. Olivier and Young are at the end of their careers here and Caine looks lost (with good reason, he a playing a fat, druken 60-something who transforms into 40 year old Michael Caine using only some plastic surgery and a few weeks of combat training). It’s very skippable, even if you’re a fan of the the genre and/or the performers. 2.5/5 "
