"It's worth repeating whenever you get the chance. **** Ronald Reagan's administration and **** every politician or adviser that decided to wait and see on the HIV epidemic in hopes that it would continue to wipe out the "undesirables" (gay people and drug addicts).
This gay road trip/crime spree movie about two men both living with HIV who go on a romantic getaway together after one kills a cop (allegedly) made me fall even further for Araki who is quickly becoming a favorite filmmaker of mine."
"I really liked this movie. It's a lot different than Gregg Araki's other stuff, but this one feels more personal in a different way than his other films. It also helps all the references to music and media happened to be the stuff I like. It's so refreshing and made me hopeful to see a complicated, messy, often unhealthy queer relationship in the forefront of the film, especially two men with AIDS. It's not written for straight people to understand, it's written for us. And by 'us' I don't necessarily mean ALL queer people, but more so anyone who has dealt with anything this movie even brushes on. I don't know... just watch it."
