"3.25⭐️ When Parker Posey earned her Indie It Girl status. This movie out 90s all other 90s movies. Her perfectly skewed style, vintage find vibe fashioned fashion, the unnaturally huge trash chic apartment she shouldn’t be able to afford even if it is a dump, the underground party scene on weeknights because parties ARE the job, and the quick witted cynically earnest apathetic way of relating and just being in the world because you think that’s going to work in the long run. Then you have to get a real job. And you bring all that with you. PP embodied it perfectly but also with a touch of guileless sweetness which made her the It girl. "
"A fun, unique film diving into the underground party scene and the librarian scene, and how often do you get that combo? Parker Posey's Mary deserves to be on the same pedestal as Alicia Silverstone's Cher Horowitz as The It Girl of the 1990s. Both coincidentally released within one month of each other. Her outfits may scream the decade but it is every bit iconic. Also, more importantly, her character arc is earned and definitely inspires. Oh, and the soundtrack is 🔥."
"This one was a fun one,a perfect time capsule of the 90’s!"
