"This is a great drama. Rita Hayworth, or Margarita Carmen Cansino, is tremendous as a vindictive and spurned woman to Glenn Ford's jealous mob character. I absolutely loved seeing these two incredible actors try to melt each other's emotions by jealousy and pettiness. By the end of the film, everyone's emotions are torn to shreds, but you still cannot look away. The story is about a couple who go their separate ways but later find each other in a Buenos Aires high-stakes casino in desperate situations with no way out. The acting is smoldering and sometimes erupts in anger, but so addictive to watch. If you are looking for a movie which defines what a love-hate relationship really is, look no further than this great film."
"My Mom is named Gilda, possibly because of this movie. She'd mention that from time to time so one year for her birthday I got her the poster & DVD. We watched together and it was my first time watching it. I say this because it's a great movie & Rita Hayworth is phenomenal but it holds an even more special place in my heart because of that connection. Definitely worth a watch!"
