"I originally watched this film in an Alfred Hitchcock class in college. I didn't really enjoy it then and the Professor told me I'd appreciate it more when I was older. He was mostly right. I still have some issues with the speed of the romance at the beginning but I like how it eventually plays out.
For a movie made in the 1940s, it holds up well and has Hitchock's trademark level of thrilling tension. I'd say it's worth a watch, especially if you're a fan of Hitchcock, Cary Grant, and/or Ingrid Bergman."

"This may be Hitchcock’s most character driven film. Cary Grant subverted his screen persona as a handler manipulating a woman to infiltrate a ring of ex-Nazis. Grant is, intentionally, at his most unlikeable here."
