The story is about a dream demon using a mentally-retarded kid as a Trojan horse to manipulate reality. The images of the demon and the surreality of his dreams are why its worth watching. the effects look like A.I. but Getty quite literally lost his mind trying to recreate his nightmares. 15 yrs to finish, Getty had no filmmaking XP so he learned everything along the way, which is interesting to see as a filmmaker. Also it’s the last movie of the tall dude from Big Fish, before he died. "
