" First time watching and thoroughly enjoyed this atmospheric, slow burn entry into the folk horror genre. The film follows Aleksandra Cwen as goat-herder Albrun, who leads a secluded life in a remote part of the 15th-century Alps, an area which is fraught by belief in witches and fear of heathens and other non-Christian cultures, broken up into 4 distinctive parts (shadow, horn, blood and fire). So very minimalistic on dialogue I chose to watch w out sub titles w little problems understanding what was happening. Recommend for the atmosphere but it is a slow burn on actual horror. 3/5 for it’s creepy aspects."
