Grave Encounters

"This found footage film feels like something you may have seen at first. Definitely begins as a spoof on those paranormal ghost hunting TV shows that are so over the top and ridiculous, but never really find anything, but try really hard to act as if they do. Then when things in this movie start to pop off, it gets pretty wild and I enjoyed where things went with this one. Some really creepy moments that will stick with you for a while afterwards. 8/10"

"ᕼOᖇᖇOᖇTOᗷᗴᖇ ᗪᗩY 9 I if this wasn’t on Horrortober list today I would have never watched. This was pretty much everything I expected. I’m really just not a fan of found footage film either. For some reason it always seems to take my out of the experience . It’s like I feel as though I’m watching a movie if that makes any sense. I like to be enthralled when I’m watching a film. It’s just hard for me to suspend my disbelief with found footage. Funny thing is Blair Witch is one of my favorites but that’s one of the holy grails and it’s very nostalgic. All found footage films aren't bad but they have to be extremely good for me to be entertained. Films like this just feel so generic and cheap so it just doesn’t work for me. I know this was a rant more than a review but hey I’m pretty sure somebody else would love to break this film down."

"3.5 stars. A lot of found footage movies have been just plain bad since Blair Witch, but this one was pretty good. I thought it was worth the watch. And it had a couple of scary images. I like that it placed a team of pretenders into a "real" situation."

"20th of Spooktober I'd watched this some years ago, and finally watched it again. Though it's not as scary as I remember it being, I did still enjoy it. Definitely frightening in parts, and employs good use of the found-footage style. It really does pick up in the final half hour - you just havecyo stick sith it. (My theme for the night was Back to the Favourite, hence the rewatch.) "
