"I liked this documentary and I enjoyed about 95% of it. The majority I liked was when it focused on the discrimination, specialization and representation of women in Hollywood. All of that have been real, serious issues and can have real ramifications on our culture. The 5% I didn’t like was when the documentary became political (I didn’t feel it was necessary and it took away from the main focus being on Hollywood) and the seemingly simple answer of hiring more women. I agree that more women need to be included in the creative work force of Hollywood and have been historically kept from it, but I don’t think that the solution is to just hire women just because they’re women. I think that diminishes the talented female directors and writers down to just their gender. I also found it ironic that they were pushing to hire female directors but the documentary itself was directed by a man. Over all, I found the film intriguing, though I wish they focused on the specialization of women a bit more as I feel that’s an issue that is affecting so many facets of our daily life and culture."
"Such an eye opening documentary. We all contribute to this industry. I don’t believe you would have interest in this app if you didn’t. "
