"It doesn’t try to be edge lord-like, attempt over-the-top kill scenes, or present a zany villain caricature. So, thumbs up for all the above. However, the film isn’t memorable. Characters have no depth, which limits emotional response to what transpires. As is the case here, when restricting scenes to only what’s found in the killer’s footage, the film can feel very distant."
