“I kick ass for the lord”
So “Dead Alive” 1992 New Zealand horror comedy (Also known as “Brain Dead” in North America) was the pick for today directed by Peter Jackson who brought us Lord of the Rings. Though I can’t say I’ve ever watched any films from that franchise. I’m just shocked that same person made what could be one of the most disgusting horror films ever made. This isn’t something you would want to watch after a full meal because it’s quite sickening especially those dinner table scenes. It’s also has a slapstick type of comedy to it that helps keep it entertaining because your not getting any award winning performances. This is pure chaos from the opening scene but the 3rd act is really where things go off the rail. Just pure gruesome carnage and unrelenting chaos."

"(1992) New Zealand/Spain- English, Spanish. AKA Dead Alive. Over the top bloody and gory, definitely one of the grossest movies I've seen. Very campy and ridiculous at times (which is not a bad thing, I like silly). Everything about the sleazy uncle reminded me of Donald Trump. Can't yet decide if I liked the movie or not, but I'm glad I finally saw it. I kept thinking 'I wonder how many gallons of fake blood and guts it took to make this film?!'"
