"Pump this out of control, self-inflected, self-loathing right into my veins. I honestly get it. Like, I hate to admit how similar fantasies I've actually had are to the talk show apology or the extended funeral. I feel like if I say I identify with the main character at all it will implicate me somewhat. Like I'm slipping the mask and showing everyone that I'm actually a bad person or if I'm actually just hyper self-critical and exaggerate my own faults."
