"Interesting plot with good performances and great special effects. Although characters are somewhat straightforward, there are several thrilling twists and turns that I truly enjoyed watching. Saw online that people were calling this movie "woke"- and have no idea where they got that impression from. There's 1 gay character and it is mentioned in about 10 seconds of dialogue. A good watch if you love space films and a cool idea. Also, a good conversation starter if you're into that. "
"I really liked the way they built the tension and paranoia. Americans and Russians are all friends until they both get messages in secret to take over the station. Great use of the set....very claustrophobic which added to the situation making it an effective thriller. Good performances. There are a few illogical decisions just to keep the story going beyound its natural conclusion. It is a bit of a slow burn and I don't think the ending pays that off. Overall it's solid but not great. Worth a watch. Please check out my podcast Mostly Low Budget Reviews with Clarence for a full break down. Link is in the bio. Thank you!"
"Despite all of the negative feedback it got upon its release, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Most of the criticism seemed to be around its one dimensional characters but that’s the nature of these kinds of close quarters thrillers. It owes a lot more to John Carpenter than it does to Apollo 13.
Its budget limitations showed at times (a major sequence towards the end of the movie happens almost entirely off screen) but the space station interior feels very lived in. The script is a little clunky in parts but the 100 minutes flew by and I was entertained.

"I liked it. A few plot holes but visually spectacular. Costa Ronin is such a great bad guy & Ariana DeBose is a future EGOT (no, not this movie but in a future performance....) Not a complex plot, the trailer gives that away but still suspenseful with twists. Watch on biggest screen you can 🤣"
