The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

"I loved seeing the city in gritty 70s film stock. I absolutely despised most of the named characters, who never get any development. There’s very little action up until the end, and the constant racism/misogyny just does not let up. I do appreciate seeing the innards of the transit system, and the ‘I’m not being paid enough for this’ attitude of the blue-collar transit workers. I do like the little touches, like the mayor getting booed. But it could have been better."
