"War movies aren't really my thing, unless they are done well... like this one is. Guy Ritchie jumps into a totally new genre for him and totally hits it out of the park. He draws the viewer in and gets you invested into the well being of his characters. Then creates an intense sense of dread that keeps you on the edge of your seat. No spoilers but there is a different feel from the first half of the movie to the last half. Both are equally as good as the other just have a different vibe. Excellent performances. 8.5/10"
"Pretty good war/action/thriller. Good to see Gyllenhaal back as a good guy and his costar, Dar Salim, gives a wonderful performance as the interpreter who saves his life and is thus owed a debt. They say Ritchie struggles with intricate plots but with simpler ones, and this one is straight forward, he excels. Well, after his King Arthur movie, I’ll always be a fan. If you like cool action and tense how they gonna make it out of this alive stories, this is for you. "
"I already knew when I saw this was a guy Ritchie film it would be right up my alley. Seeing how Guy Ritchie mad ****** which is one of my favorite films of all time I’m not surprised by how good this was. It’s possibly even better than I expected. I’m a sucker for a good war/army type film and this has everything you need. Keeping you on the edge until the credits role. "

"First and foremost, Guy Ritchie has proven that he can successfully direct any genre in my opinion. The second is that there are too many nuances when discussing the topic of the war(s) in Afghanistan. The third and final is that this film is called The Covenant. A Bond. A Pledge. A Commitment. If you take anything from watching this, take that."
"An absolutely intriguing and impactful look at the bond between soldiers and their interpreters during conflicts in the Middle East. For war movie fans, it has the action, and for someone seeking something deep, it has a truly important storyline. Not a moment felt slow or boring. Great cast, gets your heart going, and makes you passionate about the US's pitfalls when it came to supporting those who we'd promised to help. "
