"This is a good remake of the original, with Marlon Brando as the laid back psychopath genius Doctor Moreau. David Thewlis plays the stranded castaway, with Val Kilmer as Montgomery who watches the animal inmates. This version is a bit more haunting, but still manages to have a couple of lighter moments."
