"Haha, yeah, well, this series isn’t exactly the same “flavor” as our usual favorites or some of our recently reviewed favorites, and this series honestly has almost TOO much “cringe.” PLUS, I have to say, as much as I love & adore Kumail Nanjiani, I have to agree with a few movie critics that have said that his acting here in this was almost a little too stiff, as if he didn’t have enough source material or information about the actual real-life person he was portraying in order to solidify a performance. But, OVERALL, the series as a whole was good enough entertainment for killing time, haha, and yeah, worth a watch when you’re hard up for something to watch …. It wasn’t ALL cringy and there was some other good acting, etc. "
" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 I am now obsessed with this story I was woefully and shockingly unaware of. Drawn in by what appeared would be it’s glitzy 80s nostalgia (I was…don’t look at me like that lol) it definitely delivers, oh the camp! It’s got everything though. Great music, theatricality, costumes, hair (sooo much hair), drugs, sex, money, greed, jealousy, revenge, drama, lgbtq, immigration, racism, the American dream, and yes..lots of not quite fully naked gyrating men. And of course…MUUURDERR. I’m not into true crime but immediately watched two documentaries afterward and while this show definitely took a lot of liberties it’s still some kinda crazy story, both the real one and the fictionalized one. So OTT but in the best guilty pleasure way. "
"Wow! Kumail Nanjiani - Fantastic! What an impressively told story from start to finish! There are some moments that hard to watch because they are so visceral, but if you can bare it, and are looking for some good TV - look no further. "

"Yes yes yes! This series was awesome! Kumail is incredible. Every second he’s on screen, you’re dialed in. His depiction of this character, teetering between wholesome and crazy is perfect. And Murray is always amazing. Loved watching the story unfold and learning about how the Chippendale came about. BRAVO!"
