" Ghost stories is a masterpiece. It was a failed anime in Japan, so the studio licensed the rights out with no restrictions as long as somebody would dub and release it. What we got is a godd*mn gold mine. Everyone working on the dub hated the story, so the voice actors just said whatever the hell they wanted. Leaving us with fantastically stupid lines such as: "There's nothing to be afraid of, Keiichiro. Monsters only get evil people like Republicans; And we're not old enough to vote." "That means our theory is just about as bogus as Scientology!" “SOMETIMES I WISH PEOPLE COULD MARRY THE ANIMALS” “Shirotabi please forgive me for bringing you back to life! I know now that it could never work between us! It could never be! Not because you’re a rabbit, but because you’re black." "

"i only remember watching this because of tiktok. you see a couple second clips and think the whole show is gonna be funny when in reality it isn’t. i first watched this back in 2020. i hated it when i first watched it. It was boring and at most it helped me fall asleep at night. i don’t recommend watching even if you’ve seen clips of it from tiktok. i promise that makes up the smallest fraction of the show and the rest is terrible. and yes i did watch it in dub. and yes i agree that some parts of the anime were funny. but most of it was boring"
