"I really liked it. The story is very good! It had playful love/hate banter between Kane & Arwyn. I kinda knew something was going on when his whole reason for her captivity was to work in the apothecary in exchange for money her brother stole. She had healed multiple people already and he was still not letting her go to her family. (Dang dude, how much is a life worth to him???) Information being withheld. I got sus. Then I got confused and it ended. lol! SPOILERS FOR MY MEMORY******* Arwyn is “true fae” & is prophasized to kill Kane’s dad, king Lazuris (king of the Fae) who is also “true fae”. She will also die when she kills him. Kane fell in love with her and secretly tried to hide her and her family away so the prophecy wouldn’t come true. His dads army shows up, they both shift into their animal forms (dragon and wyvern) to fight, arwyn takes her sister to a ship, they are fired on by arrows, they take shelter but mom gets hit and died. Enraged Arwyn turns in to a Phoenix and destroys everything. Passes out, wakes up, then she breaks up kane and basically says she’s gonna kill his dad to save everyone and also to spite him (I think)"

There is romance strewn across the fanciful story, a tension that is palpable as the vision of a magical world unfolds. This form of romance is for for anyone who enjoys a build of excitement, emotions, and yearning between two people without the sensation of colliding stars finally meeting. That is to say, that though some “spicy” thoughts are had, the characters are steeping in their sexual tension without release. A true slow burn, with enjoyable fantasy elements. The FMC is more tentative at first, taking time throughout the novel to break out of her shell, personally I found this a nice perspective to watch as the FMC develops her bravery and courage within herself. Soldiers, fighting, monsters, edging romantic tension, magic, and more in this enthralling tale. "
