"Another amazing Mercy Thompson book! Mercy is such a strong main character, and I can never seem to get enough of her! I loved the storyline, but Christy made me want to gouge my own eyes out, which is why I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5. I can only handle so much BS from toxic exes. Also, Adam, a character I usually adore, annoyed the crap out of me for the first half of the book. He was terrible about not setting boundaries, and I get that everything was super complicated, but it still irritated me. Thankfully he redeemed himself in the latter half of the book. I would 100% recommend this series to anyone who wants a fun, fast paced, urban fantasy series!"

"Reread: this was my first time listening to this and I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite in the series. There are things I like about this and things that drive me crazy. The things that drive me crazy, I think, were meant to and they did the trick well. I love the battle between Mercy and Christy. Well, Mercy and Adam versus Christy, since Christy seems to box in a lot of people into a corner rather easily.<br/><br/>The wait was agonizing. But thankfully, it was well worth it in the end. I love Mercy. I love Adam. I love the pack. Christy? I'm voting this bitch off the island.<br/><br/>Things don't tend to say quiet long around Mercy and the pack. It was interesting to see how Adam and Mercy deal with his ex wife, her stalker and a mission that Mercy doesn't know how to complete. While I enjoyed this novel, a lot, I'm hoping that Adam starts to make his pack behave better towards Mercy and that Christy gets what is coming to her."
