"I did it! It only took me 2 months! Man this was the wrap up the Wilderwood deserved! So much feeling so much emotion this book will make you angry enough to pick a fight with a friend just because it’s the only thing you can control! We pick up with Red being the other half of the Wilderwood, Neve pulling the darkness into herself and stuck in the shadowlands. Eammon thinks this is their happily ever after, Solmir is just beginning to adjust to the detour his plan just took. Raffe is just trying to hold it all together, while Fyfe is coming to terms with the deal he made with the Wilderwood for Lyra. Ultimately though it’s about two sisters just trying to figure out a way to get to one another, not knowing their journeys are just the beginning. Their steps foreshadowed in prophesy, burned into existence, and set in stone long before they existed. It started because they chose love, for themselves, for each other. This is a story of what love will make you do for someone. How strong a sister bond can be, and how love can make anyone change, help forgive and fully forget. This was a BOOK, thick with plot twists and things I never saw coming. I loved the entire journey even if at times I just needed to walk away. But most of all I loved just how mirrored the sacrifices were, just how strong Whitten made me feel these characters and their struggles. Because character development, my goodness it is HUGE from page 1. At times it’ll feel like there is so much more book left then you can imagine things happening and then BAM they happen. This was, everything and then some! Happy reading! "

"Love this sequel, but not as much as the first. This focuses more on the sister and how she has to overcome the darkness. I will say that I love the ending and I can't say that about most books to read. It's a must read just so you're not left hanging from the first read."

"<strong>Just ok</strong><br/><br/>I really struggled with this one. I couldn't get into it like the first one. I eventually had to make myself read a chapter a day while also reading other books simultaneously. It had a nice ending that gave me some feels but I would have been fine stopping after book 1."
