"While the end of the book lost momentum, I enjoyed the beginning. Casey's is all things silly, enjoying life to the fullest, word vomiting all over the place. He is cutely obtuse most of the time. Landon was the complete opposite. Quite and a shut-in. Still, I thought they worked well together.
Many times, the romance was giddy and fun. I was blushing most of the time. But I think it might have been so overdone that it didn't feel real or relatable. I'm not quite sure where my interest dropped off. I guess the story got stagnant, and there wasn't much romance progression. Also, everyone was all open-minded and considerate. I dunno it felt very fake, but maybe because it was Christmas time, lol. I just got bored because I knew the ending already."
"fairly quick read, cute, silly, and most importantly focuses on fears and anxiety in men that are commonly shamed on/considered weak"

"I swear Rachel Reid never misses!! I had high expectations for this book and it very much lived up to them!! This book had everything you could want in a hockey romance and so much more! The mental health rep was incredible, the ace rep was spot on, the tropes were perfectly executed, and there was the perfect mix of romance and hockey and spice and emotions! Landon & Casey were both so lovable on their own so them together was just cuteness overload in the best way! Honestly, this book just made me so happy!!!"

Never been a fan of any sports or hockey and I also haven’t ready any of Rachel’s previous books. But this hooked me in! It’s a fun, hot, and heartwarming read. Where the NETFLIX people at? I want this as a series/movie now!!
Rachel Reid did a great job in making this a page turner. And it somehow resonates and reflect how gay/m2m relationships usually starts :’) 🫶"
