I had to lower my already mediocre rating because 30 out of the 36 chapters of this book were Katy and Daemon having the same effing argument on repeat. <br/><br/><b>Daemon:</b> "I like you, I think we should be together."<br/><b>Katy:</b> "You don't like me, it's the alien connection between us."<br/><b>Daemon:</b> "No it's not, I felt this way before that."<br/><b>Katy:</b> "Well you have Ash."<br/><b>Daemon:</b> "We haven't dated in months."<br/><b>Katy:</b> "WELL I DON'T LIKE YOU AND I'M NOT ATTRACTED TO YOU."<br/>*Aggressively makes out*<br/><br/>At about the fourth cycle of this I wanted to light this book on fire. Daemon was a lot better and less douchey in this installment, but I'm still nursing the hatred I felt for him before. By the end I kind of broke even and now I have no feelings for him at all. I actively don't care about this ship. GET TOGETHER OR DON'T. JUST TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE ALIEN STUFF. Ugh. <br/><br/><img src="https://media.giphy.com/media/AFjfPUJ0mjWJG/giphy.gif" width="" height="" alt="GRIMACE FACE"><br/><br/>Unfortunately for me, the ending of this book was stellar and now I have to keep reading the series to find out what happens. I did not expect half of the turns this took. I have been reading Jennifer’s books for a while now and I knew she had a talent for action but the thriller aspect of this series is keeping me on my feet and I have been loving every second of it. </p><br/>This is a little less mature than her usual adult books but it’s still packed with the same ingredients that make her stories so satisfying to read. Funny, tense, sensual, nerve-wrecking. I can’t wait to read the rest."
