"Kalona's Fall: A House of Night Novella by P.C. Cast is all about Kalona, the bad guy from the House of Night series. It is an origin story about how Kalona was created, how he became the warrior and lover of the Goddess Nyx and how and why he fell from Nyx's grace. This story also gave the origin's of the Children of Night or vampires and their creation. There were many details from the series that were never fully fleshed out for instance Kalona's story and how the vampires came to be. The series had many holes that needed to be filled in but some were filled in with the completion of this novella. I enjoyed this novella and it finally answered all of my questions in reference to Kalona. After reading this novella, I am temped to go back and read the series again because now it will all make better sense now that I have context. I highly recommend to those that have read the House of Night series. Otherwise, do not bother."
