"Past and present cases cross and podcaster is able to help solve them. I was not a fan of this book at all. I did like the court room bits as they reminded me a lot of Jodi Picoult - the rest of this was really hard for me to get through. It’s a bit graphic about some of the assault so a trigger warning there for sure. The characters were all quite boring for me. 2/5 stars for me - wouldn’t recommend. "
"Megan Goldin is very good at thrillers and actually having good twists that aren’t completely predictable. This should have a trigger warning, though, because it includes extremely graphic depictions of r*pe and s*xual assault. I still really enjoyed the book. It’s powerful and speaks to the way law and society approaches this topic. Additionally, the primary mystery plot was woven in well. I had some predictions, but I was wrong. Overall, it’s a great read (i finished in one day), but the content is heavy. "
"This one was kinda meh for me. I guess it wasn’t what I was expecting so of course I would be let down. I listened to it as an audio book and it kind of felt all over the place. I didn’t really understand what was going on until 2 hours into the audio book. I wasn’t really interested throughout it and wanted to stop reading but pushed through. Throughout I would say that I wouldn’t want to read it again, however it wrapped up nicely at the end and for that reason alone I would read again to really grasp what happened in the book."
"Loved this! I cared about all of the characters and I was gripped until the end. My kind of book!"
