Practical Magic meets Gilmore Girls in this adorable witchy rom-com by New York Times bestselling author Ann Aguiree, with a bisexual cinnamon roll hero, a commitment-averse heroine, and a chemistry between them that causes literal sparks.Danica Waterhouse is a fully modern witch—daughter, granddaughter, cousin, and co-owner of the Fix-It Witches, a magical tech repair shop. After a messy breakup that included way too much family "feedback," Danica made a pact with her cousin: they'll keep their hearts protected and have fun, without involving any of the overly opinionated Waterhouse matriarchs. Danica is more than a little exhausted navigating a long-standing family feud where Gram thinks the only good mundane is a dead one and Danica's mother weaves floral crowns for anyone who crosses her path.Three blocks down from the Fix-It Witches, Titus Winnaker, owner of Sugar Daddy's bakery, has family trouble of his own. After a tragic loss, all he's got left is his sister, the bakery, and a lifetime of terrible luck in love. Sure, business is sweet, but he can't seem to shake the romantic curse that's left him past thirty and still a virgin. He's decided he's doomed to be forever alone.Until he meets Danica Waterhouse. The sparks are instant, their attraction irresistible. For him, she's the one. To her, he's a firebomb thrown in the middle of a family war. Can a modern witch find love with an old-fashioned mundane who refuses to settle for anything less than forever?Praise for Witch Please:"The start to Aguirre's Fix-It Witches series is a delightful, laugh-out-loud small-town tale...Ann Aguirre's sexy, sweet, funny, and oh-so-fulfilling witchy love story will leave readers hungry for Clementine's story"—Library Journal, starred review"Readers will be enchanted."—Publishers Weekly"WITCH PLEASE is a lovely breath of fresh, cinnamon-scented air. "3.5⭐
This book was very cute, and I definitely enjoyed it! It was fast paced, had great witchy vibes, and I really liked Danica! I thought that the plot was fun, and as a Midwestern girly myself, I loved the setting! Overall, it was an enjoyable read, unfortunately, there were a few things that bothered me, which is why I only gave it 3.5 stars. First, Titus was just a bit too obsessed with Danica for my liking. He’d only known her for two minutes when he started fantasizing about how many kids they would be having. No thank you! Second, Clem was really quite irritating. She was painted as this loving cousin who could do no wrong, but she was really pretty controlling and seemed quite self-absorbed. I do believe she loved Danica, but she tended to show it in all the wrong ways, IMO. And third, I could not stand Danica's grandmother. She was soooo manipulative and controlling. And even though Danica eventually confronted her, it felt like no one ever really put a stop to Gram's scheming/meddling. Forbidden romance, insta love/lust, dual POV, and spicy! If you're alright with insta love, and are looking for a cute, witchy romance then you may want to check this book out!"
"I really enjoyed the beginning of Witch Please. There were cute romantic moments and the book started out fun! However as I got to know the characters more, things took a turn for the worst. Danica needed to grow a backbone. She let everyone walk all over her and keep apologizing for sh*t that didn’t need apologies. Titus was an obsessed significant other with extremely low self esteem, that was so irritating. Clem was a controlling person who could never do any wrong. And Danica’s grandma was a prejudiced, manipulative, liar who needed to be told off way stronger than what happened on page."

"I have to admit, this has been an almost DNF book for me twice! However, I’m a mood reader and I prefer to finish books I start even if it takes several times trying to do so.

I really really wanted to love this book, cute cover, witches, queer rep, romcom…Yea it spoke to me! However, it just fell flat for me overall. The main character, Danica who is a witch always seems to fall in love with simpletons and mundane which is a big no-no. She does it again and imo the overall flow and dialogue between the characters didn’t peak my interest.

The ending did have some loose ends, but I now know it is a series that does make more sense.

I recommend this for anyone who enjoys very light romance books almost equivalent to a young adult read."
