"I became quite hooked on this series ever since the first book. I had no idea that it could get any better but it does. This was a great book and I cannot WAIT to read the rest of the series.

In this book there is a lot more character and plot development. There is still the high school drama but it is mixed in with a new plot line. The majority of the book takes place over Christmas vacation at a ski resort. Hormones are high but so is fear because of the large Strogi attack on one of the Royal family. But the Storgi are working together which is odd, but they also have outside help: humans. Things will never be the same.

This book is more focused on Rose's feelings about becoming a guardian. She gets introduced to the real world that is scary and dark.
Rose grows a lot throughout this book and is having a kind of internal battle with herself. She is having mixed feelings just about everything: boys, Lisa and Christian, her mother, and being a guardian. She finds a very dark side of herself that scares her. Sometimes she gets flares of an intense anger that she cannot control and it consumes her. This, along with her already sassy personality, gets Rose into several problems.

New characters are brought in this book as well and they are weaved into the group perfectly. The relationships also really develop in this book as well. By the end you can see just how much Rose has grown from the first book to then of the second. Rose goes through some pretty tough stuff in this novel and she is defiantly not the same after it. She gains a maturity that will be imperative for her to have in order to protect Lisa.

"
