"I swear this series is just getting better and better. I also keep getting stuck waiting for the next audio book from the library as I NEED to hear James Marsters read this now. I cannot turn back to the hard copy book. He adds such an additional feel to the novel. In this seventh book of the series, Harry is dealing with some real bad Wizards working Necromancy magic. They are after a long lost book which will give the Wizard who chooses to use it a ridiculous amount of Power making them a kin to a God wealding Black Necromancy Magic. Basically Harry needs to find this book before they do, and save everyone in Chicago. Harry also meets a nice girl who tries to assist him with his current case, and as usual nothing ever works out smoothly for Harry. MInd you if it did we would not have these amazing stories to entertain us."

"This book really says a lot of things in motion for the series, and outlines the greater themes of operating in shades of grey, and heroism. I continue to struggle with the casual misogyny and sexist attitudes in the series. Initially, I thought it might just be Harry's character, and it's definitely evolved into a character flaw. But Ramirez also displayed some of that as well, and it seems to be broader than Harry. That said, it's still a good read, with layers of complexity that I didn't expect, and I'll continue on with the series!"
