"Wow. I could not put this down. It was quite riveting.

The overall story is decent and definitely a chick lit one. This was the most riveting part of it all because it really took me on an emotional roller coaster. My biggest complains are that it wasn't believable and it didn't tie in back to things it should've.

The writing was interesting. A lot of it was dialogue driven. When necessary, there were descriptions. Not my absolute favorite style of writing but iconic to the author. The alternating POVs threw me off since the voices were quite alike.

I don't know about the characters. They were interesting but I really didn't like some parts of them.
- Sloan, MC 1. She was interesting. She went through a lot of change so yay. Not really a remarkable character though
- Jason, MC 2. One thing that stood out to me from this guy is that the author wouldn't let him cry. He went through a lot of things and in the most emotional parts, they were set up as if he was going to cry. I scanned through the book again and it only mentions this once, at the performance in the end. Otherwise, I thought he was a pretty cheerful guy.
- Kristen. Couldn't stand her. She just felt like an obligatory cameo.
- Everyone else. Meh. There were some cool moments and some annoying moments from the rest of the cast.

This felt like such a long read. It does cover over a year, so it makes sense. It dragged in some spots when it felt like it didn't need to.

Not my absolute favorite read but I can see why people enjoyed it and hyped it up a lot."
"I enjoy Amy Jimenez’ writing. She does a good job at creating characters with complexity without over complicating the story. I liked the song titles as a chapter title and as it set the scene for each chapter. The main conflict seemed a little forced but I liked the way it wrapped up in the end. Overall it was an enjoyable book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 🌶/5 (or less there was like one 🌶 scene). "
"Book 2 - Friend zone series- This book is full of surviving grief and finding how to live again after a major loss. The superstar part was a little far fetched but the rest was just so real. The love they felt for each other and the fact that I truly believe dogs can help with depression. This is a great book that I would recommend to anyone! "
"It started really well, I absolutely loved Sloan's encounters with Tucker and Jason! The messages the characters exchanged were also funny and sweet, but meeting Lola as the main obstacle between them was a huge turn-off, and I wasn't able to enjoy the book ever since. And, perhaps, it all happened too quickly when the characters started dating."
"This book is probably one of my favourite romances now. I read “the friend zone” before reading this one so it took me a little while to pick this one up because I honestly really loved Brandon. However, I’m so glad I finally picked this one up. It sorta got me out of my reading slump and GAH it has so much heart (which Abby Jimenez is so good at writing) HOLY MOLY I really felt all the feels reading this one. It was funny and so cute while also being balanced with depth and emotion!!"
