Two cousins journey to unite a world torn between day and night by their twin goddess mothers in this epic YA fantasy duology debut.“Dark and richly drawn, The Never Tilting World is a lavish fantasy about sisterhood, sacrifice, and finding strength in a treacherous world. Chupeco’s writing is lushly descriptive, transporting me to the brink of the abyss; while reading it, I could swear the world stood still.” —Heidi Heilig, author of For a Muse of FireGenerations of twin goddesses have long ruled Aeon—until one sister’s betrayal split their world in two. A Great Abyss now divides two realms: one cloaked in eternal night, the other scorched beneath an ever-burning sun. While one sister rules the frozen fortress of Aranth, her twin rules the sand-locked Golden City—each with a daughter by their side. Now those young goddesses must set out on separate, equally dangerous journeys in hopes of healing their broken world. No matter the sacrifice it demands . . .Told from four interweaving perspectives, this sweeping epic fantasy packs elemental magic, star-crossed romance, and incredible landscapes into a spectacular adventure with the fierce sisterhood of Frozen and the breakneck action of Mad Max: Fury Road. Perfect for fans of Furyborn.“An exciting page-turner that is so visually vivid that reading it feels like watching a movie. . . . Part epic adventure, part political thriller. . . . Magical and exhilarating.” —Kirkus Reviews“An engaging adventure that will leave readers anxious for the next book in this duology. A great choice for fantasy shelves.” —School Library Journal

"This one was initially very tough for me to get into. The relationships felt a little forced to me, and I couldn't see where the story was headed. The more I read, the more I got into it. The characters still don't really have me hooked, but the world and the magic system are really cool. Awaiting the sequel via mail! "
"I liked the basic idea of this book a lot and some of the ideas and descriptions were really cool. Ultimately, it ended up disappointing me, though. Most of the characters don't really act like people, and both major romances were extremely silly (yes, I know it's YA but they don't have to immediately jump into being in love). I was really disappointed with how Odessa being corrupted by the galla was handled as well. She did a lot of pretty scary and terrible things and it feels like now everything is forgiven because she feels bad about it. The idea that her romance with Lan could continue after the way that she'd treated her is pretty gross."
