"Such an adorable story of baked goods, reality TV, culture, and love. The baking competition was a really unique premise for a YA book. Shireen’s character was beautifully crafted, and there was so much development of her character as queer, plus-size, and Bengali/Muslim, there was so much representation in her character alone. There was also both second chance romance and love triangle tropes, and it was all with LGBTQ+ representation. I also loved the baking themed puns for chapter titles (and the inclusion of a direct Gordon Ramsay copycat, down to similar naming…) And the baked goods presented in the story sounded so delicious, there has to be a cookbook based off this story. All fans of baked goods, puns, and heartwarming romance should definitely try out this book."
"Such a cute book! I loved the story, the characters and the way it was written! I especially lived the food puns and the baking competition aspect. It makes me want to watch the next season of The Great British Bake Off!! If you are looking for a sweet and quick LGBTQ read, this will satisfy your craving!"
