"This movie is great and the experience is even better when you go into it not knowing anything about it. Simple story, yet great performances and such raw emotions shown throughout this film. What I like about the elements used from emotions is the sense of relatedness I got off of it. From fear, secrecy, and reassurance Shelly went through, which also makes you feel empathetic and makes you reflect on yourself."

"The Last Showgirl is a poignant look at the fading glamour of Las Vegas and the tough realities of life in its entertainment scene. Pamela Anderson delivers a surprisingly tender performance as a veteran showgirl grappling with the industry's constant changes. The film highlights the fleeting nature of fame and the personal toll it takes on those who live in its shadow. While sad, it offers a powerful depiction of the challenges entertainers face in a city where the show must always go on 🎰"
"The Last Showgirl is a subtle, observational drama that quietly follows Pamela Anderson's character through her daily life as a Vegas showgirl.
The film's strength lies in its:
* Atmospheric portrayal of Las Vegas nightlife – glamorous yet lonely
* Pamela Anderson's understated performance – conveying subtle emotional hints
However, the movie struggles with:
* Extremely slow pacing – scenes unfold at a glacial rate with minimal dialogue
* Lack of discernible plot – character development and story progression feel vague
* Underutilization of supporting characters – they barely register amidst Anderson's solo focus
Gia Coppola's direction aims for contemplative insight into Anderson's character's inner world:
* But ultimately feels more like a series of disconnected vignettes than a cohesive narrative
Overall, "The Last Showgirl" is a muted, uneventful watch."
