"This film started as a light comedy, but tone changed dramatically in the latter part of the film. This is certainly because of Charlie including a small story which mirrored his real life struggle to disprove himself a Communist. It is a strange storyline, which also includes a short slapstick scene at a nightclub between two actors. All I can say is that this film shows Chaplin was stretching his artistic muscle 💪 again."
