"Give this a chance. It's definitely a horror movie, but it's like nothing you have ever seen. If you aren't afraid of getting old, you will be after this. "

"A criminally underrated indy film from no other than George A. Romero— This is what you will want to watch when you are young to understand your grandparents better and again when you are middle-aged to prepare you for what will be your future if you live long enough. Unfortunately, I did not discover it until 39, but since I lived with my grandparents and had already volunteered to help elderly people (mostly in the hospital, but also once in a nursing home for elderly nuns), I was already familiar with a great deal of the challenges elderly people face. Still, it was eye-opening considering some of the other challenges I did not really consider— ones that my particular grandparents and extended family did not face as much, for instance. But it is done in such a way that it is a fun and interesting narrative, even though the chief message is a bleak one."
