"i like this movie because of the scenery alone, the incest part is what made me uncomfortable but i guess if they were lost at sea as children they wouldn’t know wrong from right. i’m glad it was a happy ending, although, if the father didn’t find them at the end and they actually died i feel like that would’ve been so beautifully theatrical "

"Back when it first came out, many people said the acting was awful, but after rewatching it that couldn’t be farther from the truth! They act as children the entire film because when they get stuck on the island they are children. My biggest gripe with the film is that the female lead was 14 at the time, and the male lead was 18. Other than that, I think it’s a pretty great movie!"
