"A really pretty movie for sure, the visuals are very stunning..but this movie to me gets kinda tedious to watch after a while and the acting is well over acted..some points way worse the others. I totally understand someone likening this movie though, but for me it’s a trick of beauty over substance. "

"I'm actually surprised. I knew after seeing red riding hood updated what I was getting into. I just honestly thought you couldn't do anything with a snow-white story. As iconic as that movie is, it's not what I consider a good story. Yet this one was captivating, intriguing, & just plain good.
Now for the review. It's not a snow white story. As in, its not for kids. This is a tale for adults who know the snow white movie but want something more. They expanded in great ways. Theres action & they truly built the world for the better instead of just rehasing the cartoon. It feels like a true tale.
I enjoyed the way every character had depth & a purpose. They weren't just there to fill a plot hole. Each one felt significant.
The cinematography is good. At times, it can be jarring, but they use that for a reason. The shots are calculated & work well to express the emotions of the moment. I'm just honestly impressed. Scenery is also phenomenal, & I'm constantly in awe of some shots. True effort was put into this & it came out well.
Acting is superb. In every way & character. All were great. Chris is astounding to say the least.
This movie is both predictable & unpredictable. Certain moments will surprise you but at the same time you will know they're coming. I won't spoil anything. Basically you'll see moments coming but they put a spin on them you're not expecting. As in you reach the final destination but you either took a shortcut/the scenic route to get there.
As for the faults. The biggest one I have is her speech at the climax. None of what she said really made sense. Some of it did yes but nobody listening to that is going to feel inspired to do what they do. It's mostly nonsense & you can tell the writers thought it was good but it doesn't work when actually spoken.
The ending works for what it is. It flashes back to that predictable aspect I mentioned, but I do enjoy how they played it out. It felt realistic. Even the actual end scene seemed right for the story."
