"So this part two of Rebel Moon is more of the same from the first one, and that's a good thing. Although, I would have preferred it to be one epic movie instead of broken up into two parts. This way Snyder could have trimmed the fat and made a leaner and ultimately superior product. But as it was with part one, this movie has magnificent battle scenes with excellent CGI and innovative set designs. The characters' chemistry is where it is lacking a bit. I failed to connect, or care about Kora's romance. So much so that I don't even remember his name and cared less when he died. But I did enjoy this installment as much as the first. Hopefully, Snyder will turn it up a notch with the next one if it comes to fruition. 8.5/10"
"Zack Snyder is my favorite director and I am one of his die hard apologists. And he needs some apologies for these two. I rewatched the first one last night (way better than I remember it) and then saw this one is only the 2nd of at least 6!?!?! But because I think he writes and directs the best action scenes ever (i.e. his cut of Justice League!), with some of the best heroes ever, I’ll forgive that these two should’ve been one 3 hour movie (JL was 4 hours too!). I’ll even forgive that he has the sappy cheese factor turned up to 11 here. Because there are some stand up and cheer moments in this biggest of David/Goliath stories, with some epic performances and blow you away FX. But I also can’t blame you for ffwd’ing through the first hour of this to miss the lovable farmers farm. "

When you take a turned down Star Wars script and try to make it something else. It’s wannabe Star Wars, not Star Wars.
Snyder fans will call it a masterpiece but Dune Part 2 was a masterpiece. Rebel Moon relies on a romance with no chemistry. Action that is neither fun or engaging. Held back by too much slow motion as well.
Snyder apparently has a 3rd film planned. The more he drags out this thin story. The more I understand why it was a turned down Star Wars movie.
The 3rd one needs a much better screenwriter than Snyder himself. Otherwise, I expect very bad reviews yet again."
"Again, they have to put the entire plot of pause to have characters sit around and spew backstory that should have been covered naturally throughout the TWO MOVIES that they’ve had now. That scene was way too long and ruined the pace of an already boring and poorly written movie. I gave it two chances, once for the original release and once for the director’s cut. The directors cut, once again, felt the need to add an extraordinarily long sex scene and bad cg blood rather than any actual plot fixes. I’m not going to give these movies another chance. They’ve failed four times now in only two movies and I no longer have any faith in what Snyder is trying to do with this story. "
