"Another great Western (with a cool standoff-style ending) featuring yet another standout score by Morricone. One thing I am especially loving about these series of movies is the way it utilizes the setting and landscape to establish the film's overall mood. This one in particular has some georgeous wide shots of the landscape. Lee Van Cleef is a fantastic addition to the series as well, not to mention the fact that it is cool to see Gian Maria Volonté play the antagonist once again after the first film. Overall this is turning out to be a fantastic film series. So far, I would say it is neck and neck between this and FISTFUL OF DOLLARS (with FISTFUL having a narrow edge), and I cannot wait for THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY (which will technically be a rewatch as I watched it once many years ago)."
