"I’m guessing there’s either some deep political meaning or this is based on some Greek tragedy, but I’m too uninterested to find out. Otherwise, this is an original horror comedy that attempts to further bridge the language divide with the use of a narrator. Hope it don’t become a regular thing. But this is a really good vampire tale. Mesmerizing to watch and wonder. Alarmingly violent at times. "

"An interesting concept and some really cool visuals, but that's about all that can be said for it. While I really appreciated the concept, the characters were all so insanely dull and felt so flat. The ruthless killer of a servant just came across as a spineless lackey. The supposedly clever nun that was the perfect vampire killer had a few lines with a bunch of financial and political information thrown in in order to speed run through all of Pinochet's crimes, and then she just pathetically whimpered for the rest of the movie. Maybe something got lost in translation and the dub is just really bad, but I went into this movie with high hopes, really wanting to like it based on the concept and artsy style, and that good will slowly eroded throughout the film until, by the end, I was on my phone half the time because I just did not care about any of these useless idiots."
