harper lukacskoI want to read the rest of the series but don’t remember this one as much and forgot the plot twist entirely. Might reread when I get the series and give it a 4. I remember liking it as well. Very cliche dystopian and fantasy but the mix makes it bearable.
harper lukacskoOk I remember loving this book, but I don’t really remember much so if I reread it I might give it a 4. But I liked the idea and the imagery at point I remember. Gave true cliché dystopian when they went over the wall and all that- still good though, would still recommend if prompted to
harper lukacskoGood thought provoking book. Makes me feel smart while also keeping me entertained. Lot of death and gore but also fun moments. Kinda creepy in a fun way if that makes sense. Will recommend and might read again, but not in love with it (morally gray characters tend to do that)
harper lukacskoGood start to the series- just took to long to get to the beginning. Torn between Warner and Adam. Kinda liked her help caprice rather than free. The place she’s being kept at the end kinda gives me the creeps. (Still gonna read the series and recommend, just not head over heels for the book)
harper lukacskoGiving me psych yin Yang vibes and I’m here for it. Infiltration of the house and Toby has been kidnapped. Sad ending though. Definitely will reread for the comfort of the chase (yin Yang psych vibes are probably why) (Team Jameson and Xander now) - getting Toby back and solving puzzles on puzzles… and who is this girl Eve?
harper lukacskoToby played a bigger role in this story aka Harry, kidnapping and attempted murder. Very invested. (Team Xander forever and max ofc) - finding Toby and digging up his past
harper lukacskoLove the introduction to characters and the storyline. Definitely a great start to a series. (Team Grayson and Xander obviously) - figuring out why Avery Kylie Grambs is important (a very risky gamble)
harper lukacskoLove pip and Ravi. The murder was very investing and I tried to solve it too. Love the use of making it “realistic” in a way. Drew my emotions, sad, happy, cute, mad, and all the in between.
harper lukacskoFantasy, love triangle, “prodigal son” Selwyn Kane>>>> literally in love with him Nick literally leaves her from time to time. And Bree has multiple different powers and has 3 different backgrounds with magic. The king was the bad guy and the friend was a demon who killed 3 people. William is still by far the best character… him and Alice would be so cute
