"⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 So good! Caught my attention from the first chapter and had the hairs on the back of my neck standing all the way through. The scooby team was annoying for awhile but they definitely grow up quick. I generally can’t bear a slow burn thriller so if you want something fast paced, creepy and a little terrifying this one just might be for you."

"A powerful read that is so much more than a horror novel. Even though I predicted part of the ending, this story of friendship was beautiful. I love what one of the characters said about "life having sections, like walking through doors. That no one can see what the next room holds until you are in it." 4.5 stars!"

"Suspenseful and creepy, my two favorite things! The chapters were nice and short, I preferred this because every chapter changed perspectives to another character, and they each left me wanting more. I didn't get bored at all reading this, altho it was a bit predictable to me, and some of the character's decisions drove me crazy! Cough, Todd, cough. Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who loves suspense and is afraid of the woods, like me."

"A great thriller/horror read. This is my first Darcy Coates but I picked up a few more. I really enjoyed this one."

"Oh boy...this was rough and not in a good, horrific way. Something felt missing with this almost copy and paste cookie cutter mystery thriller title. Left a lot to be desired..."

"*no spoilers* Darcy Coates did an amazing job with leaving you on the edge of your seat with your heart racing in this book. The different povs through the book added so much to it instead of just staying with one group the whole time. This one has a CRAZY plot twist!"

"The Hunted is definitely a good book. It had me nervous, tense, paranoid and breathless all at the same time."

"Finally, a book that scared me!! Granted, it wasn’t the fact that the characters were being hunted that got to me: it was a character climbing in a tree and almost falling that did it. I’m genuinely terrified of heights, and my palms got sweaty reading that scene. But the rest of the book was delightfully gory and surprisingly realistic. It wasn’t the most well written of novels, but it succeeded in drawing me in. I couldn’t put it down! After about halfway I kept conveniently forgetting about my obligations in order to keep reading. I loved the ending and I felt like it was a really satisfying horror novel, with all the right elements to make it great."

"A good read, finished in one sitting as I found pretty early on that it was difficult to put it down. Kept me on the edge of my seat and was a good thriller. The ending was a bit fast of a wrap up for me with a few things happening I wish didn’t. However still a great read and would recommend this highly. I’d say 4.5 stars for me."
